2017 has seen its fair share of data breaches so far, with more than one major data breach taking place each month. While the affected organizations face harsh consequences – including legal implications and damage to their brand reputation, millions of their customers’ personal records have been exposed and made vulnerable to criminal activity, such as identity theft. Let’s take a look back at the data breaches that have occurred this year, as well as the resultant implications and risks.
