The Client Engagement Manager’s primary responsibility is to grow the revenue of your existing accounts. This will be achieved by understanding your client’s digital communication requirements, looking for new opportunities within the existing account and/or identifying new business units in the account, identifying new digital communication types to implement and presenting to your account/s and concluding the deal.

The Client Engagement Manager position includes farming, research, consultation, presentations, keeping up with digital communication trends and offering strategic digital communication advice.

This position has the following areas of focus:

Business Development and Revenue Growth [existing clients / accounts]

  • Identifying and managing new business opportunities for growth within the broader digital communication context
  • Identifying and managing the next best digital ‘communication type’
  • Ensuring solid and multi-layered client relationships
  • Defining and implementing cross and up-sell digital opportunities
  • Proposing Striata digital communication solutions, strategies and tactics
  • Present and drive strategic ideas into existing accounts
  • Responding to incoming queries and effective management of these
  • Providing proposals, presentations and quotations where required

 

Account Administration

  • Ensuring contracts are signed (new accounts) and renewed (existing clients / accounts)
  • Updating of spreadsheets and internal management reports
  • Providing all manner of reporting to customers
  • Effective internal and external management to ensure internal processes are being followed

 

Knowledge

  • Digital communication, digital communication types, digital trends, what’s hot, what’s new and building relevant personal knowledge
  • Ability to create and leverage client relationships in order to grow the account
  • Understanding and being knowledgeable about client environments, digital communication landscape, organizational environment, competitive threats, client internal constraints
  • Positioning of yourself as a digital communication expert

 

Candidate Profile

  • Completed Tertiary Qualification in the field of Marketing/Business/Commerce or equivalent to NQF Level 7 / 8
  • Honest, reliable & confidential
  • Respectful & Flexible
  • Possess cultural & political awareness and sensitivity
  • Demonstrate sound work ethics
  • Self-motivated & Well presented
  • Valid driver’s license & transport

 

Requirements:

  • 3 – 4 years relevant working experience in the ‘digital world’
  • Have proven intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Prioritise their own and team members work
  • Have the ability to work under pressure
  • Be structured and organised
  • Be able to understand customer requirements and apply sound thinking to solutions
  • Be able to compile concepts and proposals for presentation to specific client audiences
  • Have the ability to understand and apply digital processes and concepts
  • Be confident to sell him/herself and Striata’s capabilities
  • Have a proven track record of building healthy customer relationships

 

Skills required:

  • Be able to understand and effectively interpret customer requirements
  • Have excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Have excellent administrative skills and be able to multi-task
  • Have the ability to build healthy relationships (clients and internal)
  • Be proficient on Excel, PowerPoint, oral presentations
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transport at all times
