Campaign Manager

Job Description: Campaign Manager
Location: South Africa

The Campaign Manager will be responsible for all operational activity within their assigned accounts and will be involved in the execution of day to day operations, including: managing campaigns, assisting on projects and operations, testing and quality assurance and reporting. The Campaign Manager position includes day-to-day management of account activities.

This position has the following areas of focus:

Operations

This position will work hand in hand with the operational and commercial leads to fulfill the daily operational duties and be responsible for the smooth operational function within their team.  Requirements include:

  • Management of the execution of work required to achieve the team’s financial target.  
  • Ensure that the team, capabilities, tools and processes support the professional image of Striata
  • Work with team to ensure that traffic flow and prioritizing are managed effectively 
  • Providing the required campaign reporting on opportunities and strategic goals
  • Assist with testing as and where required based on team capacity 

Projects and Campaigns

  • Work with the project manager to oversee all assigned new projects, operational processes, repeat campaigns and automated projects
  • Communicating with internal teams regarding campaigns and projects
  • Providing regular and valuable feedback to the client and Account Managers
  • Raising any “red flags” and assisting to resolve issues to complete work
  • Assist project manager and commercial colleagues with pre-sales product support where required
  • Participates in the prioritization of projects within the team
  • Forms a positive working relationship with the appropriate client contacts
  • Consistently delivers high-quality services to our clients

Functional execution

  • Daily, weekly and monthly reporting per project  or campaign requirements 
  • The planning and management of assigned projects according to project timelines
  • Handling change requests
  • Regular quality control checks to ensure that the project remains in line with the supplied specifications 
  • Manages change control process during project or campaign build and ensures that all changes have been implemented
  • Notifies the development team of any discrepancies (deviations from the specification) and follows up on the updates 
  • Pro-actively detect errors or failures and raise the necessary flags
  • Daily problem solving and identifying critical issues with ease
  • Ensure issues are tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
  • Testing of deliverables and quality assurance
  • Handling change requests and new campaigns

Testing:

  • Pro-active interaction with the Account Managers and customer regarding projects 
  • Keeping the Account Managers informed of all project information, especially changes and amendments
  • Responsible for managing of all material, i.e. getting the material from the Account Managers on time and checking that it is complete and correct
  • Quality management: proof reading and checking of output before tests are sent to clients
  • Create UAT documents and checklists that meet specifications and follow standards 
  • Work with development resources to ensure that the UAT plan is optimal for the required output 
  • Ensure that the projects conforms to requirements, specifications, and other documentation
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure that all issues understood and are resolved

Other

  • You may be responsible for any other functions that management may require from time to time

Candidate Profile

  • The successful candidate will be confident and able to grasp and understand electronic marketing principles and practices. The Campaign Manager needs to be motivated, well presented, as well as be efficient at administration.  

Requirements:

  • Be able to understand customer requirements
  • Have excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Have excellent administrative skills and be able to multi-task
  • Be proficient on Excel (advanced level)
  • Minimum of a relevant tertiary qualification is required
  • Must have at least 1-2 years Campaign Manager/traffic control/testing experience in an Digital Marketing environment
