Striata SA is a level 3 Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) contributor, with a total score of 79.73% as rated on the generic enterprise scorecard: Black Ownership = 25.06%; Black Female Ownership = 25.06%; Procurement Recognition Level = 137.50%. The rating is in compliance with the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) Codes of Good Practice.
 
Broad-based black economic empowerment is essentially a growth strategy, targeting the South African economy’s weakest point: inequality. Companies’ empowerment progress is measured in four areas: Direct empowerment; Management at senior level; Human resource development and employment equity; Indirect empowerment through; Preferential procurement; Enterprise development;and Corporate social investment.

  • A question often asked is whether there are any regulations prohibiting the sending of statements via email, or whether any UK regulatory bodies might object to replacing paper statements with electronic statements. This paper addresses these concerns specifically for Financial Services companies.
This Manual is published in terms of Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act (Proatia / PAIA), 2000 (Act No. 2 of 2000). The Act gives effect to the provisions of Section 32 of the Constitution, which provides for the right of access to information held by the State and to information held by another person that is required for the exercise and / or protection of any right.

The reference to any information in addition to that specifically required in terms of Section 51 of the Act does not create any right or entitlement (contractual or otherwise) to receive such information, other than in terms of the Act.
