Decoder Instructions for Solaris
How do I download and install the Solaris decoder?
- Download the installation archive:
striata-reader-1.0-25-solaris.tar.gz

Unpack the archive in a temporary directory:
gzip -dc striata-reader-1.0-25-solaris.tar.gz | tar xvf -
As root, move the unpacked files to the correct locations using the following commands:
mv striata-reader /usr/bin/
mv libstlport_gcc.so /usr/lib/
How do I view the Solaris statement?
- Run: striata-reader <.emc file>. This will extract the files into the current directory (after asking for a user name and/or password if appropriate).
How do I automate the extraction of statements?
- Run striata-reader -help to see what other options are supported that should ease the scripting and automation of the extraction of .emc files.
